Uncanny X-Men - Poptopia

Story

Two seperate story lines once concerning Chamber falling in with a pop princess. and the second about a chemically enhanced bounty hunter Mr Clean hunding down mutants in Londons Sewers. I guess when this was written the world must have been in its Britinay Spears phase so that would explain the first story thread in this. That part was okay without being all that exciting. Second thread about the mutants being hunted in the sewers was a bit better. I guess the point was not all mutants are going to have cool powers that they can use for good/evil its just going to make some people outcasts. Have to say tho im not sure if i want to read stories about them! lol The one thing that i did take from that thread is i want to know more about the organisation/church that chemically altered mr clean and set him to do his job. All in all servicable without being anything special

Artwork
I enjoyed the artwork in the first 3 issues. There were a couple of full page panels of archangle where i thought hey thats cool!4th issue artwork did nothing fr me really seemed almost rushed to me. I'm guessing it was a different guy who drew it. Some of the action panles where the x-men first met Mr Clean alsoi felt where a bit stilted i didnt get the feeling of anything. Last comment would be my main complaint but i found Chamber annoying to look at. I dunno if thats cos of the artwork? But i suppose drawing a character who has flames for a mouth is difficult so mayb he is just a stupid chatacter idea? OH i totally enjoyes the camel toe in issue 397

Characters + Dialog
didnt really find much out of place here. the explaining the characters orgins every second page al la daredevil is gone/more subtle which is good. I felt again most of the dialog was solid with out being all that clever. the characters acted as i expected they would. All the characters seemed to fit into there stereotypes.
