New X-Men - E is for Extinction

Story

I found the story reasonably engaging. Obviously it opens up alot of question that i hope will be answered.

who/what is Cassandra Nova where did she cone from? i hope more is explained aout her orifins. Also the fact that the human race will become extinct as well is somthing i hope will be looked at again. all in all i enjoyed it. i thougt it was maybe wrapped up a lil too quick

Also maybe the hints were too subtle but did Cassandra Nova manage to do the mind swap with Professor X? i assumed thats what happened and thats why he outed himself on TV.

Artwork

An improvment over the last arc. tho i must say i did like the artwork in the first daredevil arcs. I im not sure why just maybe didnt seem bold enough for me. From the little i know about comics it seemed solid but unremarkable. nothing really made me go WOW thats awesome.
Please correct me if im wrong here.

characters and dialouge
I thought it was a solid outing character wise. Emma frost looks like she could be a sexy minx in the coming arcs. Not sure why Cyclopse and jean grey seem to be hitting a rough patch. I assume it has something to do in previous arcs. My only complaint might be that i didnt get the sense of devistation on what happened on Genosha(not sure of that complaint belongs here or in the story section). MIllions of mutants died and i dint feel like we got to empathise with them much.ALso some background info on Cassandra Nova motives other then shes a new evolutionary step wouldnt have gone astray but that might be in an upcoming arc i suppose

  1. Some good observations there, I wont go into details apart from saying yes, Cassandra Nova will be back and you will get answers to some of your questions.
You are right about the artwork, I've seen worse but it's nothing to write home about.

  2. cool i think the hardest part for me is the lack of context i have. I dont know what some of the characters are ment to behve like ive maybe only seen them in the movies, and i wouldnt expect the movies to be 100% accurate

  3. That's true, I guess you will build that up as you keep reading. It's hard when a particular character can be written by so many different writers; I tend to just build up an idea based on all the things I've read and my own opinion on how a character should behave.
